Japanese Pokémon Search Terms
A lot of the TOP collectors in the Pokémon card community buy a large portion of their cards, slabs, and related products directly from Japan. The reason is simple — prices are often lower, and you have a much better chance of finding rare or niche items that rarely show up elsewhere.
I created this website and guide to help fellow collectors buy Pokémon products straight from Japan in a simple, transparent way. There’s no financial incentive for me to do this — and I earn nothing if you click any of the links provided below.
Below, you’ll find a list of common Pokémon-related search terms translated from English to Japanese. Each entry includes the English word, its Japanese translation, and links to both Yahoo Japan (YJ) and Mercari so you can shop like a pro on Japanese sites. I’ll continue updating this guide over time — if there’s a new search term you’d like me to include, feel free to DM me on Instagram.
Happy hunting, and may you find your next Pokémon grail!
